HASHISHATurkish restaurant

Our story

Hashisha began far from Poland, in Gujarat in India, and reached Konin by a roundabout route. This is how it happened.

From Gujarat to Poznań

Our founder, Om Gauswami, grew up in Gujarat in India, among a lively culture and rich culinary traditions.

In 2016 he moved to Poznań to study for a bachelor's degree in business management. While studying, he got to know an authentic Indian kitchen from the inside.

That is when a wish took root in him that never left: to bring cultures together and share the genuine, soul-warming flavours of India with people in Poland.

MOJEINDIE in Poznań

A year later Om combined his kitchen experience with his business knowledge and opened MOJEINDIE. It began as a small takeaway spot that quickly won over local food lovers.

Over time the regulars multiplied, people who valued authentic Indian spices and hospitality. The place grew into a full fine dining restaurant in Poznań's historic Garbary district.

Konin on the way to Warsaw

The next goal was meant to be Warsaw. On the road from Poznań to the capital, Om stopped in Konin and discovered a town he had not known before.

He was taken by its warmth and decided to stay. In 2021 he opened MOJEINDIE here, on Plac Wolności.

Meeting Meleknaz

While running the restaurant in Konin, Om met Meleknaz Ciman, a woman from Turkey. Today she carries the name Gauswami.

Meleknaz brought to their work a passion for hospitality and a good knowledge of Turkish culinary traditions.

Together they began to imagine a place entirely new for Konin, where cultures, flavours and atmosphere meet.

Hashisha

In August 2025, with Om's experience in food and business and Meleknaz's Turkish roots, they opened Hashisha. It was the first truly authentic Turkish restaurant in Konin, where the interior matters as much as the kitchen.

Every element of the interior and every decoration refers to Turkey, so that guests can immerse themselves in its culture. In the hall there is a mosaic signed by Roberto Cavalli.

Our promise

For us Hashisha is proof that perseverance, respect for other cultures and a shared love of good food can build something lasting. Come for the aromatic spices, for the lively flavours of Turkey, or simply for a good table. Our doors are open and we will welcome you like family.
